PROJECT DEFENCE SPEECH

PROJECT DEFENCE SPEECH
One of the best way to attract the attention of your project defence judges  is to have a good introduction speech.
Undoubtedly, if the beginning of your project defence speech is strong and interesting, then you stand a chances of getting a good mark for your project defence. Actually, opening of your speech completely depends upon your style and choice because the panel of judges  required that you be yourself. So, choose something simple and what you are completely comfortable with.

For a good project defence opening speech, the 3 following guides must be considered.

1. GREETINGS/COMPLIMENTS

2. INTRODUCTION

3. DEPARTMENTAL/PURPOSE

1. Greetings/compliments: This is the very basic, common and important step in which you need to greet your judges. For example: Good day to you all my panel of judges. I am happy to see you all.
2. Introduce yourself: This will help the judges to know who you are. Also it will increase the level of communication between you and your judges. Example: My name is James Black.
3. Department/Purpose: Tell your judges your department and the purpose of your being there. Example: I am a student of Business Administration department, and I am here to defend the project proposal that state "your project title ".

At this stage you can wait for them to start asking you questions.
But, if there is no attempt for asking questions from them. Then you can move on by stating the purpose of your study, the challenges it has come to solve,  and the importance of your study.
